Detector Dewars

Technifab’s WhisperTech line of exceptionally quiet detector dewars can cover the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Detector dewars are used to reduce the temperature of an electromagnetic sensor and the first stage amplifier, often a field effect transistor. By reducing the temperature the noise level of the components are exponentially reduced. Thus a cleaner, better signal comes out of the detector used in the product.

Technifab offers a complete line of WhisperTech detector dewars for scientific instruments.

Reducing ambient noise levels is the key to getting the best possible signal measurement for any electromagnetic radiation dector. Technifab’s detector dewars are constructed to minimize microphonics (caused by mechanical vibration creating output variation) so signal noise levels are decreased. Special construction techniques are used to reduce liquid nitrogen vaporization which can cause dewar and sensor vibration. We also use proprietary surface treatments and special component suspension systems inside the dewar to reduce vibration. Finally conductivity is minimized through the use of heat chokes and a low conductivity component suspension system inside the dewar.
